As well as playing live music, I also have a big collection of vintage music. I have four original working gramophone players which I take with me to care homes and also to special events. I regularly collect Shellac 78s from all eras and genres, from turn of the century music hall stars like Florrie Forde and Harry Lauder, right through to the 1950s and the likes of Tommy Steele, Little Richard, Elvis Presley et al. There are also items of historical interest, such as King George V’s Empire day speech and Enid Blyton reading Noddy in Toyland, all available with a winding up of a spring!
