About Stuart

Stuart Jebbitt is a freelance community musician and artist based in Dorset/Hampshire.

StPatricksPartyStuart has many years experience of working with a wide variety of community groups, especially learning disabled young people and adults, as well as playing live music in care homes and day centres.

With a background in youth and community work, he has worked closely with a number of organisations such as the Army Welfare Service, Coda Music Trust, Hampshire Youth Service, Forest Bus Mobile Community Project, The Independent Living Group, Mencap, Mind, Needs Eezed Day Services, New Forest Gateway, Southampton Scrapstore and Wyvern College of Technology.
He has played in numerous bands, taught guitar and ukulele, as well as writing an award-winning series of tuition CD-ROMs. 
He was also a regular contributor to daily thoughts on BBC Radio Solent, performing a number of humourous self-penned topical songs.

Stuart has worked with people of all ages and abilities, running custom-designed music workshops in a wide range of settings including schools, village halls, day centres, youth clubs, retirement homes, army camps and churches.

He is also a graduate of Chelsea School of Art, where he specialised in drawing, painting and printmaking, gaining an M.A. in Fine Art.

Stuart has enhanced CRB clearance, public liability insurance and is a qualified community worker (NVQ Level 3), as well as a member of the Musicians Union.

Bookings : For workshops and live gigs, I generally charge standard MU rates (£30 an hour + travel expenses)
